Westerfield names former Marine as campaign manager

State Senator Whitney Westerfield of Hopkinsville has announced that Joe Fryman, former U.S. Marine Sergeant, will be the campaign manager in his bid for Kentucky Attorney General.

Westerfield says, “I couldn’t ask for a better person to help me launch this fight for conservative reform. I’ve fought from the Senate floor, but there’s more to be done. It’s time we held the Attorney General’s Office accountable to our hard-working families.”

Fryman has served as campaign manager before for Congressman Andy Barr in 2016. He also led recruitment efforts for the Republican Party of Kentucky and oversaw their 2016 presidential caucus operations in fifty-one Kentucky counties. Fryman served in the Marine Corps from 2008 until 2014 as a non-commissioned officer. His service included a combat tour in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

His role will include management over all aspects of the campaign, including public appearances, staff hiring and volunteer coordination.

Fryman says, “It is my honor to join Senator Westerfield’s team and I hope to make a difference for the thousands of Kentuckians looking for real and positive results from their state leaders.”
