Groups of Hopkinsville Middle School students have recently been busy collecting trash off the sides of city streets—making the town cleaner and raising money for their athletic teams.
Members of the HMS Lady Tiger basketball team and football team spent Saturday in a driving rain picking up trash on many city streets.
The athletes, coaches and parents, participated in the City of Hopkinsville’s Trash for Cash program, removing litter from more than seven miles of streets.
