Crofton woman facing promoting contraband, drug charges

Hopkinsville police arrested a Crofton woman who is also facing charges of drug possession and promoting contraband following a search at the Christian County Jail.

According to the police report, 26-year old Kayla Darling of Crofton was arrested at Walmart on separate charges. Once in custody, the report states officers asked if she had any property on her person that would be considered contraband and she allegedly said there was nothing.

A strip search at the jail allegedly revealed methamphetamine, hydrocodone, Xanax and marijuana inside her bra.

Darling is charged with promoting contraband, possession of meth, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and criminal trespassing.
