Eric Hosmer hit a go-ahead, solo homer to give the San Diego Padres a 7-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Raisel Iglesias gave up the blast and took the loss as Cincinnati wasn’t able to finish off the sweep in the conclusion of the three-game series. The Los Angeles Dodgers come to Great American Ball Park this evening with pregame at 5:10 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
Elsewhere in the National League: The Atlanta Braves defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-5. Atlanta opens a series tonight at San Francisco. The Chicago Cubs game at the Washington Nationals was rained out. The Cubs open a series tonight at Philadelphia.
Interleague: St. Louis picked up a 5-2 win at Detroit. The Cardinals are back home to host the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight.
