CCHS adding teachers with increased enrollment

When over 100 more students arrived at Christian County High School this year than what was expected, it meant the building would need to hire additional teachers to help carry the workload.

Principal Chris Bentzel recently appeared on WHOP and says they are looking to hire four new teachers.

He says they’re pleased that more students are coming to Christian County High, but the increased numbers were a surprise.

Bentzel says hiring English, science, social studies and math teachers will allow them to reduce class sizes to more ideal numbers.

Bentzel also praised the school’s Air Force JROTC program for its community service projects over the summer during his regular appearance on the Early Bird Show.
