Bryan, Hendricks to host campaign events

Wally Bryan will kick off his campaign for mayor of Hopkinsville with an event Thursday and incumbent Carter Hendricks will host a grand opening at his campaign headquarters next week.

Bryan, who is a former two-term mayor running as an independent, will kick off his campaign Thursday evening at 6:30 at the Moayon Building at the corner of South Virginia and East Ninth Street.

Bryan says he will share his message for change and ask for the community’s support.

Meanwhile, Hendricks will host the grand opening of his headquarters Thursday, September 20th at the Clayton’s Building on East Ninth Street. Doors will open at 4:30, Hendricks will give remarks at about 5 and a news release says he will have a special announcement.

He says his campaign headquarters will be open Thursday and Friday afternoons and for four hours on Saturdays through the November 6th general election.

The four-way race for mayor also includes Democrat Jason McCraw and independent Walter Shamble.
