Walk to End Alzheimer’s coming up Sep. 29

The Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s has been very successful in its first few years and organizers are hoping to reach a lofty goal when the 2018 edition happens later this month.

Lisa Schaffer with the Alzheimer’s Association says registration will get underway at the Christian County Justice Center at 9 a.m. on September 29th and the walk begins about an hour later.

She says the local walk committee has a lofty goal of $100,000.

All funds raised go to the Alzheimer’s Association for supporting victims, their caregivers and for research and awareness.

You can still register to participate in the local Walk to End Alzheimer’s at alz.org.
