An investigation by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department at the Adairville Dollar General Labor Day afternoon led to the arrest of a woman on drug charges.
Deputy Jason Brent was called to the store about 3 p.m. for a disturbance and he made contact with 33-year old Misty Harrison of Adairville, according to a news release, which says she showed multiple indications of being under the influence of a substance.
Harrison was reportedly belligerent and was placed under arrest for public intoxication. A search of her purse allegedly revealed a syringe containing blood and an unknown substance and two prescription painkiller pills.
She was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance, prescription pills not in the proper container and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police say Harrison admitted to deputy jailers that she had taken Suboxone earlier in the day.
