Three people were arrested on drug and gun charges following an investigation Friday on Ferrell Street.

Hopkinsville Police were called to a possible burglary in progress at 1525 Ferrell Street Apartment #6 about 11:11 a.m. and investigation led officers to locate eight marijuana plants on the front porch of Apartment #2, according to the report.

The homeowner did not agree to a search of the apartment, so officers obtained a search warrant and say they found marijuana, scales, plastic bags, a .45 caliber pistol loaded with flanged ammunition, and a semi-automatic rifle.

Investigators arrested 24-year old Markail Bennett for trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and using restricted ammunition during a felony. Sixty-one-year-old Terry Wilson was arrested for cultivating marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and 18-year old Shawn Baline for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

All three men are Hopkinsville residents.
