A man sought on a felony warrant for probation violation was arrested following a foot pursuit Monday evening.
Officers went to a Hilltop Drive residence looking for 44-year old Robert Preston and located him in a back yard. An arrest citation says he refused to comply with officers’ commands and that he ran and hopped a fence.
Preston ran across Main Street and into the woods behind Super Lawn and Garden.
One HPD K9 unit and two from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department were able to push Preston through the woods and he had to be tased when he emerged near Rogers Group and again failed to comply with commands.
He was served with the warrant that stems from original charges relating to methamphetamine and he’s facing new charges of fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
