Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin will run for reelection next year.
The Kentucky News Network reports he made the announcement Saturday night at the Kentucky GOP Dinner in Lexington.
The only Democrat who has announced a gubernatorial run in 2019 is Attorney General Andy Beshear. Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes and House Minority Floor Leader Rocky Adkins are considering a run in the Democratic primary, but say they won’t commit to anything until after this November’s general election.
