Sawyer Brown put on a show that lasted over 90 minutes to close out the third annual Summer Salute in downtown Hopkinsville Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman says the Friday night crowd was larger than the one from eclipse weekend last year and Saturday’s turnout was very good.
Sawyer Brown has produced country music hits for over three decades and Brockman says Hopkinsville was fortunate to have them here.
While the lack of a total solar eclipse to draw thousands of tourists to the city may have cut the concert crowd down some from the one that saw Tracy Lawrence last year, a majority of the Christian County Justice Center parking lot was still full and others were standing on the sidewalks and on the grass.
