Two Todd County men were arrested Monday night in Christian County on gun and methamphetamine-related charges.

Deputy Michael Oxford was dispatched to a possible theft of a camper in progress on Carl Smith Road and Deputy Will Meyers located the camper and a pickup described by a witness on East Seventh Street in Hopkinsville.

While deputies were investigating the camper, an SUV occupied by 20-year old Tyler Scott Mosley of Trenton and 20-year old Kayan Garrett of Guthrie arrived on scene. Arrest citations say both indicated they were friends with the driver of the pickup who had removed the camper and both had been with him when it happened.

Mosley admitted to having a handgun in glove compartment of the SUV and a search allegedly revealed that firearm, another gun in the center console, marijuana, a baggie of methamphetamine and a meth pipe.

Neither man claimed ownership of the items and both were arrested for carrying a concealed deadly weapon and for possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Garrett was additionally charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

No charges were filed in connection with the camper, as investigation determined the driver of a pickup had permission to remove it from its previous location.
