Fort Campbell soldier killed in Iraq

A Fort Campbell soldier was killed Monday in Iraq.

The Department of Defense says 34-year old Chief Warrant Officer 3 Taylor Galvin of Spokane, Washington died as a result of injuries sustained when his helicopter crashed in the Ninevah Province. The incident is under investigation.

Galvin was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment on Fort Campbell. He was deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
