Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Grimes is urging U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar to deny Governor Bevin’s Medicaid waiver application.
Grimes says it will result in thousands of Kentuckians losing healthcare coverage.
She says she supports programs designed to help people access good jobs, but making health coverage contingent on work requirements violates the purpose of Medicaid.
Grimes says that isn’t creating a stronger Commonwealth, it’s creating a crisis.
