Lt. Governor’s Entrepreneurship Challenge kicks off Friday

Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton will kick off the 2019 Lt. Governor’s Entrepreneurship Challenge Friday at Marshall County High School.

She will also present the Champion trophy to Principal Patricia Greer and the 2018 LGEC winning team from MCHS, Bluegrass VR, comprised of Claire Harmon, Daniel Sills and advisor Lisa Devillez. Bluegrass VR split $50,000 in scholarship funds that can be used at any Kentucky-based post-secondary institution.  This year’s trophy includes a dedication to the memory of students Preston Cope and Bailey Holt.

The challenge is a business pitch competition that open to all Kentucky high school students. The deadline to register is December 3, and students may register in teams of two to four students.
