University Heights Academy opened the new school year in its unique and traditional way Wednesday morning.
Upper School Director Marvin Denison spoke to students, faculty, staff and alumni during the annual opening assembly in the school gymnasium and highlighted changes—including the new building that holds high school classrooms—but says it’s what has remained the same that makes UHA unique.
He says it’s important for UHA to retain its identity and family atmosphere to remain successful.
As is the custom, Denison had high school seniors stand behind the kindergarten class and says it’s the UHA family’s duty to make the little ones into successful adults.
Seven members of the Class of 2019 were in the UHA kindergarten class 13 years ago.
