The City of Hopkinsville Financial Division, led by Chief Financial Officer Robert Martin, has received another Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
This will the 24th year in a row the department has received that recognition, which is awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association of the US and Canada, and is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and reporting.
Mayor Carter Hendricks says, “We are excited to celebrate the hardworking team members in our Finance Division whose have continued an outstanding tradition of excellence in fiscal management and financial reporting. We know taxpayers work hard for the funds we use to deliver valuable public services each day. It is our distinct pleasure to be good stewards of those funds as we move our community forward.”
