David Freese laced a go-ahead RBI double in the fifth inning and the Pittsburgh Pirates held on to edge the Chicago Cubs 5-4. Javier Baez hit a three-run homer for Chicago, which lost for the third time in four games. The teams play again this evening in Pittsburgh.

Nick Markakis, Ronald Acuna Junior and Johan Camargo homered for the Atlanta Braves in an 11-6 victory over the Miami Marlins. The teams face off again this evening at Sun Trust Park.
