Senator Rand Paul is now supporting President Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Kentucky Republican has been withholding support but put out a statement saying he will vote for Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
Paul said he reviewed the federal judge’s record and argued that Kavanaugh should be judged on the totality of his views, character and opinions.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell aims to get Kavanaugh confirmed this fall, before November’s midterm elections.
