A motorcyclist was hurt in a single-vehicle crash on Madisonville Road Saturday when the driver attempted to avoid a collision.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department report, 60-year old Roy Hamby Jr. of Crofton was operating a motorcycle northbound on Madisonville Road, where traffic was stopped ahead of him. He reportedly tried to stop in time, but had to lay the motorcycle down in the center of the road to avoid a collision.
Hamby sustained injuries to his arm and leg and was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck.
