Two injured in Guthrie accident

Two people were injured in an accident Sunday afternoon in Guthrie.

A collision report from Guthrie Police Officer Spencer Turner says 17-year old Courtney Henry of Clarksville was traveling on Port Royal Road and drove into the path of a southbound vehicle operated by 17-year old Rebekah Barnes of Clarksville as she attempted to cross US 79.

Their vehicles collided in the intersection and injured two of Henry’s passengers—39-year old Jamie Henry and 10-year old Addison Henry of Hixon, Tennessee. Both were taken by EMS to Tennova Hospital and their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Turner, the Todd County Rescue Squad, Guthrie Fire Department and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet assisted at the scene.
