Austin Peay State University sophomore quarterback Jeremiah Oatsvall was named the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference Media Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Friday. The Nashville native seized the QB job halfway through the 2017 season and never looked back. He completed 80 of 141 passes for 1,148 yards and seven touchdowns, while adding 453 yards and six rushing touchdowns.
In addition, Austin Peay was picked to finish second behind Jacksonville State in the OVC Media Preseason poll with Murray State selected seventh. The OVC has its Football Media Day Monday in Nashville where the Coaches/Sports Information Directors Preseason Poll and All OVC team will be announced.
