Hoppers fall to Dubois County in extra innings

For the fifth time in sixth meetings this season, the Hoptown Hoppers and Dubois County Bombers played a one run game, with the Bombers winning 10-9 in 10 innings last night at Colonel Field.

The Hoppers Aidan Elias got the scoring off and going with a two run home run in the first inning before the Bombers struck for seven runs in the top of the third. Dubois County would go up 8-2 in the top of the fourth before the Hoppers scored five times in the bottom of the fourth.

The Bombers would again score in the fifth to go up 9-7 before the Hoppers would tie the game in the 7th inning. Dubois County would get the win with an unearned run in the top of the 10th.

Nick Proto, Cody Hartness and Cole Cummings would each record two hits with Jaxon Herchenbach in relief of starter Sage Holderfield taking the pitching loss. Former Christian County standout Kolby Silvy would go the first four innings for the Bombers but did not get a decision.
