Taster’s Luncheon brings in large crowds

The Junior Auxiliary of Hopkinsville put on an event that was filled to the brim Friday with the annual Taster’s Luncheon.

Hundreds of people filled the War Memorial Building to sample the many, many dishes created by auxiliary members. Co-chairs Ryann Mabry and Marcy Smith say they were very pleased with how the event went, which may have been the most well attended one ever.

Mabry says all the money raised goes back into the community, through programs such as their $4,000 community grant, which is being awarded this year.

The Junior Auxiliary will have more events coming up later in the year, including their Charity Ball and Auction in October and the Parade of Pennies. More information will be released for those events as they come closer.

Attendees at the luncheon got to eat their fill of a variety of foods and desserts and VIP ticket holders got a cook-book that contained the recipes of all the food present.
