Hopkinsville man facing felony theft, drug charges

The Hopkinsville Police Department served several warrants to a local man Tuesday afternoon and he is also facing drug charges.

According to the police report, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in which 36-year old Jason Willis of Hopkinsville was a passenger. When officers asked if there were any drugs in the vehicle, Willis allegedly said no and it was discovered that he had multiple active warrants.

While being served the warrants, a search of his person reportedly revealed synthetic marijuana in his pocket. Willis was arrested and charged with possession of synthetic marijuana, but was also served warrants for felony receiving stolen property, theft by deception and non-payment of fines.
