Madisonville pedestrian injured in collision

A Madisonville man was injured Monday afternoon in a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in Hopkins County.

According to a news release from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received reports that a man had been struck by a vehicle on Sandcut Road in front of Pappy’s Gas Station. Upon arrival, contact was made with the driver, 21-year old Brandon Burcham of Clay.

Burcham was reportedly driving southbound on Sandcut when he struck 53-year old Charles Follin of Madisonville, who had been crossing the street. Follin sustained several injuries and was taken to Baptist Health Madisonville.
