An investigation by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department Sunday morning led to the arrests of two Elkton residents on drug charges.
Deputy Debbie Belcher observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by two people on Spa Lake Road near the lake about 5 a.m. Sunday and made contact with 30-year old Brittany Skipworth and 53-year old Garth Slaughter—both of Elkton—according to a news release.
Skipworth gave consent to search the car and police say they found drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine.
Both suspects were arrested, with Skipworth charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia and Slaughter with possession of a prescription substance not in the proper container and possession of drug paraphernalia.
