Pennyrile Electric is celebrating a milestone of having had 807 days without a lost time accident, which qualifies them for an award.
According to a news release, as of Thursday employees worked 500,228 hours without a safety incident and by reaching that milestone the company earns the Governor’s Safety and Health Award, which embodies excellence in workplace safety.
President and CEO Greg Grissom says safety is an integral part of Pennyrile Electric that requires unwavering commitment to achieve excellence. He says the award is well-deserved and he applauds them for their continual commitment to safety and well-being of their fellow employees.
Pennyrile Electric will be recognized by the Kentucky Labor Cabinet at a date to be announced.
