A Clarksville man has been arrested and charged with murder the connection with the shooting death of another man in Clarksville in 2017.
According to a news release, 25-year old Tanner Burgess was arrested on the strength of a Montgomery county grand jury indictment for his alleged role in the death of 48-year old Michael Kehoe. Investigation determined that there had been a physical altercation between the two men in September 2017 on Cherry Tree Drive that ended in gunfire and with Kehoe taken to the hospital.
Kehoe succumbed to his injuries two weeks later, changing Burgess’ original aggravated assault charge into a murder charge.
Burgess was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
