Rain was a factor in a head-on collision that injured three people on Blue and Gray Park Road north of Elkton Sunday afternoon.
Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Turner says 16-year old Reuben Knight of Elkton had been headed south when the rear end of his pickup began to slide in the curve near Hadden Mill Road.
Knight’s pickup slid into the front of a northbound car driven by 16-year old Robert Dunn of Elkton, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway and the pickup went through a fence.
Dunn and two adult passengers, Tim Knight and James Bellwood of Elkton, were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Sgt. Turner says all injuries were non-life-threatening, but Tim Knight may have sustained a broken leg.
Reuben Knight and his passenger were treated by EMS personnel at the scene, but did not go to the hospital.
The Elkton Fire Department and Todd County Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
