Hoppers edge Madisonville 2-1 in 12 innings

The Hoptown Hoppers won their home opener last night, defeating the Madisonville Miners 2-1 in 12 innings. The Hoppers struck first in the bottom of the first inning on a single by Aiden Elias that brought home MJ Rookard to make it 1-0.
Madisonville would tie the game in the third as Nate Chevalier’s double brought home Billy Edwards with the tying run.

In the home 12th, Max Remy led off with a single, Cole Cummings had an infield hit and after John Reed sacrificed the runners to second and third, MJ Rookard had a hard hit single to right to bring home the winning run. The Hoppers are now 3-0 on the season tonight while Madisonville drops to 0-2.
