A Russellville man was arrested Wednesday in Logan County for multiple charges, including fleeing or evading police and possession of methamphetamine.
According to a report from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were on patrol on Cemetery Road in Auburn when they observed 23-year old Derek Reeves of Russellville standing in a driveway. Reeves had two active warrants and when deputies attempted to make contact, Reeves allegedly fled on foot. He was taken into custody following a brief pursuit.
A search of his person allegedly revealed meth, methadone and several items of drug paraphernalia in his pockets. Along with being served the two warrants, Reeves was additionally charged with fleeing or evading police, possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and prescription of a controlled substance not in a proper container. **
