An investigation on South Virginia Street Thursday led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man on gun charges.
City police received a call of a disturbance at 1704 South Virginia and found 25-year old Kwame McGregor of Hopkinsville, who had reportedly been in a dispute with his brother.
An arrest citation says McGregor threatened to pistol whip his brother with a handgun and that he threw a shotgun in a trashcan.
The pistol and shotgun were found where the victim said they would be and a computer check showed McGregor is a felon.
He was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, second-degree wanton endangerment and tampering with evidence.
