Brooke Jung led Hopkinsville and Christian County through preparations, planning and implementation during the 2017 total solar eclipse that brought over 100,000 visitors and she will soon lead the Hopkinsville-Christian County Convention and Visitors Bureau as its next executive director.
Jung says she’s excited to be coming back to Hopkinsville to build on momentum from the eclipse.
She says Christian County has many ways to promote itself as a tourism destination.
Cheryl Cook is retiring from the position after 21 years of service at the end of June and Board Chair Carolyn Cobb says plans are being made to honor Cook and to celebrate the hiring of Jung.
Jung has also held positions at the Christian County Chamber of Commerce, Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau, Louisville Sports Commission, Chicago Bears and Kentucky Derby.
