Madisonville pursuit ends with arrest

A vehicle pursuit Monday night in Madisonville ended with an arrest on multiple charges.

Madisonville Police responded to a West McLaughlin Avenue location regarding a disturbance involving 36-year old Chester Goff of Madisonville and he was also sought in connection with an investigation in Webster County, according to a news release.

Officers found Goff near the scene and attempted to make a traffic stop, but he did not pull over.

Goff eventually abandoned his car on foot at Griffin Auto Sales and was quickly caught in the back yard of a nearby residence.

He was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, possession of meth, tampering with evidence, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and improper passing.
