Clarksville man facing multiple charges following Oak Grove pursuit

A Clarksville man is facing numerous charges following a motorcycle pursuit Friday in Oak Grove, including wanton endangerment and fleeing police.

According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, Trooper Hunter Carroll observed a motorcycle operating at a high rate of speed on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Oak Grove. When he attempted to stop the motorcycle operated by 23-year old Jason Johnson of Clarksville, Johnson allegedly accelerated and continued on KY 911.

Johnson reportedly lost control of the motorcycle in a curve after approximately one mile of pursuit, and then fled on foot. He was caught and taken into custody behind a house on Thompsonville Lane.

Johnson was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, two counts of fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, speeding, criminal mischief and several traffic violations.
