Mayor promoting Hopkinsville Transit as fuel costs rise

Hopkinsville Public Transit continues to be popular and it could become more popular with rising gas costs.

Mayor Carter Hendricks recently appeared on WHOP and says they’re open to expanding routes and hours of operation for the city bus service, if it’s feasible.

He says the numbers have been good, but he hopes more residents will ride the bus—especially with rising fuel costs.

Anyone living within a quarter-mile of a designated bus stop can call 270-890-0215 and the bus can pick you up where you are located. Maps and bus schedules can be found here.
