Local athletes who play three sports honored by KHSAA

In an effort to continue the national emphasis and efforts to de-emphasize sports specialization in the athletic culture, the Kentucky High School Athletic Association recently launched the “Triple Threat Award” program to recognize those students who participate in high school athletics year round.

The award will be presented to 16 local student athletes that are among a total of 1,814 student-athletes across Kentucky.

Christian County honorees are: Antonio Abren, Tyquez Douglas and Kenyon Drayton.

Hopkinsville High honorees are: Chase Atkins, Keion Brown, Zahnte Brown and Max DuBois, London Foster and Kyren Palmer along with Zlatko Skuljan.

University Heights Academy honorees are: Anna Fitzpatrick, Lily Hendricks and Nailysca Hall, Piper Hancock, Evelyn Morales and Vallie Smith.
