A girl on a bicycle was hurt Saturday evening after she rode her bicycle into the side of a pickup on East Seventh Street.
The collision report from Officer Rogers Stephens says 13-year old Tiprriea Jackson of Hopkinsville crossed East Seventh on Brown Street on her bicycle and circled around back to Seventh. She did not look for oncoming traffic and struck the side of a pickup driven by 45-year old Gordon Rager of Hopkinsville, who had to swerve to avoid a more violent collision.
Jackson was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for injuries to her arms and hands. Police say she was not wearing a helmet.
