Purdue coach Jeff Brohm tells the Courier Journal 90 percent of coaches and colleagues told him not to accept the Boilermakers head coaching job a year ago, but he says he liked the challenge of reshaping the program. Brohm inherited a program that had won just nine games the previous four seasons before going 7-6 last year and won the Foster Farms Bowl behind Princeton native and quarterback Elijiah Sindelar.
Brohm also says all he asked for when he was head coach at Western Kentucky was to get Louisville on the schedule, which the school did, but now he will not be there to be a part of those games.
