The Rotary Club of Elkton will host a political forum Thursday night at the Todd County Justice Center in advance of the May primary election.
It won’t be a debate as it has in previous years, but will instead feature speeches lasting up to four minutes for candidates running for county judge-executive, county attorney, county clerk, sheriff, jailer and commonwealth’s attorney. Candidates for magistrate in districts 2, 3 and four will have up to two minutes to speak.
The event begins at 6 and they hope to wrap up by 8 o’clock.
Elkton Rotary Club President Rhonda Werner says the public is encouraged to attend and learn about the candidates. The club will livestream the forum on its Facebook page.
