A rear-end collision Monday afternoon on Skyline Drive injured a Hopkinsville woman.
It happened about 4:20 p.m., according to the report from Public Safety Officer Andrew Hoffman, which says 31-year old Mary Essler of Hopkinsville was headed east when she said her cell phone rang and she looked away from the road at her device.
When she looked back up, she saw that 59-year old Michelle Ruppert of Hopkinsville had stopped to turn onto Marie Drive and it was too late to avoid a collision.
Ruppert went by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries and Essler was not hurt.
