The United Way of the Pennyrile has selected Letha “Annie” Catron to serve as its next president, starting April 16.
According to a news release, Catron’s first day at the helm of the United Way will be April 16th, which also coincides with the first day of United Way partner agency Community Investment Volunteer visits.
United Way Board Chair Holly Boggess says, “We are extremely pleased to be announcing Annie as the next President of the United Way of the Pennyrile. Annie’s commitment to and knowledge of the Hopkinsville-Christian County area and surrounding region are second to none. She brings both professional and personal qualities to the United Way to allow our organization to continue to build upon its momentum and to tap into untapped resources.”
Catron says, “I am honored to have been chosen to lead an organization that touches so many lives, and I am excited to help the United Way start this next chapter of its service to the residents of Christian, Todd and Trigg counties.”
Current President Jennifer Maddux, who recently submitted her resignation from the position, intends to stay on for a while longer to help make the transition seamless.
