Alabama man arrested for pills, fake driver’s license

An Alabama man with pills, marijuana and a fake driver’s license was arrested following an investigation Friday night in Todd County.

A report of a suspicious vehicle on Pond River Road resulted in a Todd County sheriff’s deputy making contact with the stationary automobile occupied by 19-year old Marley Taylor of Athens, Alabama.

Police say there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and a search revealed a pill bottle with the name ripped off, marijuana and a fake Mississippi driver’s license that Taylor said he used to buy alcohol. At least one of the pills was determined to be a prescription narcotic.

Taylor was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, prescription pills not in the proper container, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
