The Madisonville Police Department arrested a man Sunday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 79-year old woman.
According to the police report, 27-year old Eric Barnett of Madisonville was arrested following an investigation into a complaint of sexual abuse. Investigation reportedly determined evidence and information that led to Barnett’s arrest, who was charged with first degree sexual abuse of a 79-year old female victim.
He was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
