Kentucky Parks Commissioner Donnie Holland has announced the hiring of a new manager at Jefferson Davis State Historic Site in Fairview.
David Smith has worked with the Kentucky State Parks system since 2010, spending time at Lake Barkley State Resort Park and most recently was the business manager for Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park.
Smith, who grew up in Hopkinsville, is a Navy veteran and earned his degree in business economics from Murray State University.
Smith replaces Ron Sydnor, who recently retired from the park.
