Two arrested for human trafficking of a juvenile

Two people are facing human trafficking of a minor charges after a missing 15-year old was found Wednesday in Oak Grove, according to court documents.

According to an Oak Grove Police Department report, a traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle driven by 38-year old Stanley McMeeken of Clarksville that only had one headlight. A search of McMeeken’s person allegedly revealed a small amount of methamphetamine in his pocket, along with syringes in the vehicle.  Two glass pipes were reportedly also found, one near the passenger seat and the other in a bag. A marijuana cigarette was found on the center console.

Also in the vehicle was 30-year old Cecilia Slade of Georgia and a 15-year old female juvenile. The juvenile had been reported missing from Gwinnett County, Georgia and was last seen December 26.

Slade allegedly admitted to being engaged in prostitution. She told officers she had met the juvenile at a hotel in Georgia and then brought her to Kentucky.

Both Slade and McMeeken were arrested and charged with human trafficking of a victim under 18 years of age, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. McMeeken was additionally charged with driving on a suspended license and one headlight.

They were lodged in the Christian County Jail on $25,000 bonds.                                                                                                                **
