Mayor advocates in Frankfort

Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks took a trip to Frankfort last week to advocate for projects and advancements of the community.

As a part of the Kentucky League of Cities Board, Mayor Hendricks spoke with many government departments, including the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, pushing for several local state road projects.

Meeting with the Cabinet for Economic Development, he says he wanted them to know that Hopkinsville has multiple opportunities for economic advancement.

Mayor Hendricks advocated for pension and tax reform that would benefit law enforcement and teachers, to make sure they get what they were promised.

He says things are continuing on the I-169 road project, including making repairs to on and off ramps and other improvements so Hopkinsville can keep reaping the benefits of being along an interstate.                                                                                                **
