Dist. 4 House candidate to focus on infrastructure

The Republican looking to unseat 4th District state Representative Lynn Bechler says he’s had a lifelong interest in politics and is ready to serve.

Fred Stubblefield of Marion is a Livingston County native and will soon retire from his position at a chemical plant in Crittenden County, where he also owns a farm. Stubblefield says improving infrastructure will be a priority for him if he’s elected

Regarding pension system reform, Stubblefield says whatever is passed by the General Assembly must meet commitments made to state employees, first responders and teachers.

Stubblefield will face Bechler in the Republican primary and the winner will meet Democrat Abigail Barnes in November. District 4 includes a portion of Christian and all of Caldwell, Crittenden and Livingston counties.
